SSC Study Materials: Lines and Angles

 Fundamental terms and Definitions:

1. Line segment and ray: The part of a straight line whose both ends are fixed is called a line segment. If one point of a line is fixed, it is called a ray.
2. Collinear points and Non-collinear points: If three or more points lie on a straight line, they are called collinear points. If three or more points do not lie on a straight line, they are called non-collinear points.
3. Types of angles: According to measurement, angles are of the following types.
   • Acute angle: If an angle lies between 0° and 90°, it is called an acute angle.
   • Right angle: An angle whose measurement is 90° is called a right angle.
   • Obtuse angle: If an angle lies between 90° and 180°, it is called an obtuse angle.
   • Straight angle: An angle whose measurement is 180° is called a straight angle.
   • Reflex angle: If an angle lies between 180° and 360°, it is called a Reflex angle.
4. Complementary angles and Supplementary angles: If the sum of two angles is equal to 90°, they mutually formed a set of complementary angles; e.g., the Complementary angle of 30° is 60° and the Complementary angle of 60° is 30°.

If the sum of two angles is 180°, they are called supplementary to each other; e.g. Supplementary angle of 60° is 120° and the supplementary angle of 120° is 60°.

5. Adjacent angles: Two angles are said to be adjacent angles if they have a common vertex, a common side, and their uncommon sides are situated at two different sides of the common side.

In the adjacent figure, ∠EBC and ∠DBC are adjacent angles because point B is common to both of them and their uncommon sides BD and BE are opposite to the common side BC.

Similarly ∠DBC and ∠DBA are adjacent angles, but ∠EBC and ∠DBA are not adjacent angles as they do not have a common side.

6. Linear pair of angles: In the adjacent figure ∠AOC and ∠COB are adjacent angles and AOB is a straight line i.e., uncommon sides of adjacent sides form a straight line. Such angles are called linear pairs of angles.
7. Vertically opposite angles: If two straight lines AB and CD intersect each other at point O, then angles facing each other are called vertically opposite angles.

In the adjacent figure, ∠AOD and ∠BOC are one pair of vertically opposite angles, while ∠AOC and ∠BOD are another pair of vertically opposite angles.

8. Transversal line: A straight line intersecting two or more lines at different points is called a transversal line.

In the given figure straight line n intersects two different lines l and m respectively at points P and Q, so line n is a transversal line.

9. Exterior angles and Interior angles: In the figure given below, a transversal line n intersects two straight lines l and m respectively at P and Q. Around each point P and Q, four angles are formed, among these angles ∠1, ∠2, ∠7, ∠8 are called exterior angles while ∠3, ∠4, ∠5, ∠6 are called interior angles.
10. Corresponding angles and Alternate angles: In the figure drawn above
    • ∠1 and ∠5, ∠2 and ∠6, ∠3 and ∠7, and ∠4 and ∠8 are called pairs of corresponding angles.
    • “∠4 and ∠6” and “∠3 and ∠5” are called pairs of alternate interior angles.
    • ∠1 and ∠7″ and “∠2 and ∠8” are called alternate exterior angles.
    • ∠4 and ∠5″ and “∠3 and ∠6” are called consecutive interior angles Alternate interior/exterior allied angles or co-interior angles.

All type of alternate angles is commonly known as alternate angles.

11. Exterior angle and Interior opposite angle of a triangle: In the adjacent figure sides BC, CA, and AB of triangle ABC are respectively produced to points D, E, and F. ∠ACD, ∠BAE, and ∠CBF thus formed are called exterior angles of the triangle.

Interior angles ∠A and ∠B are called interior opposite angles to the exterior angle ∠ACD. Similarly, ∠B and ∠C are interior opposite angles to the exterior angle BAE etc.

12. Types of triangles according to sides:
    • Equilateral triangle: When all the sides of a triangle are equal, it is called an equilateral triangle.
    • Isosceles triangle: If any two sides of a triangle are equal, it is called an isosceles triangle.
    • Scalene triangle: If the sides of a triangle are unequal, it is called a scalene triangle.
13. Types of triangles according to their angles:
    • Acute angle triangle: If all three angles of a triangle are acute, then the triangle is called an acute angle triangle.
    • Right angle triangle: If one of the angles of a triangle is right angled (= 90°) then it is called a right angle triangle.

A triangle has at most one right angle.

• Obtuse angle triangle: If one of the angles of a triangle is obtuse (lies between 90° and 180°) then

it is called an obtuse angle triangle.

A triangle has at most one obtuse angle.

RRB Group D CBT Result 2022

RRB Group D Result for CBT 1 Exam will be made available by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The Exam for Railway Group D 2022 consists of 3 stages and follows a certain selection process as outlined by the Railway Recruitment Board. PET, Document Verification/Medical, and Computer Based Test (CBT) are the next stages of the exam. The candidates who meet the requirements at each level will be contacted for the choice. Each stage’s RRB Group D Result will be made available individually by the recruiting board.

Computer Based Examination:

Only those candidates who clear the RRB Group D CBT cut-off, as specified by the RRB, will be declared qualified in the RRB Group D 2022 CBT Exam Result. Candidates who have obtained marks in the exam more than the RRB Cut Off for Group D recruitment, will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Among the qualified candidates, three times the number of vacancies in the order of merit will be called for the RRB Group D PET. Details for the PET are published along with, or a few days after the declaration of the RRB Group D result. Male candidates are expected to run a certain number of meters in a given time in one chance. The distance to be covered by female candidates is a bit different.

 கொரோனா பெருந்தோற்றுப் பரவல் காரணமாக 1 முதல் 8 வகுப்புகள் வரை பள்ளிகளில் பயிலும் மாணவர்களின் கற்றல் இடைவெளி மற்றும் இழப்புகளை ஈடுசெய்வதற்காகத் தன்னார்வலர்களைக் கொண்டு தினசரி 1 முதல் 1.5 மணிநேரம் மாலை 5 மணி முதல் 7 மணிக்குள் ) குறைதீர் கற்றல் செயல்பாடுகளை மேற்கொண்டு மாணவர்கள் கற்றல் திறனை மேம்படுத்தும் வகையில் " இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி " எனும் திட்டத்தை அரசு அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மாவட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்புக் குழுவில் , அனைத்து விதமான திட்டமிடும் பணிகளில் பங்கெடுக்க வேண்டும் . இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மாவட்ட கலைப்பயணக் குழுவுடன் பயணித்து , கலை நிகழ்ச்சியின் போது இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி தன்னார்வலர்களைப் பதிவிடும் செயல்பாடுகளில் கண்ணும் கருத்துமாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.

மாவட்ட அளவில் நடைபெறும் கலைக்குழு நிகழ்ச்சிகளுக்கு திட்டமிட்டு , வழித்தட ( Route Chart ) மேலாண்மை மற்றும் ஒருங்கிணைப்பு புணிகளில் ஈடுபடுதல் வேண்டும் . மேலும் கலைக்குழுவினருக்கு தேவையான தங்குமிட வசதிகளை ஏற்படுத்தித் தர வேண்டும்.

பள்ளிகளில் கலை நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெறும் போது , தலைமை ஆசிரியர்கள் / பள்ளி மேலாண்மைக் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் ஆகியோரிடம் உரையாடி இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மையங்கள் கிராமங்களில் சீரிய முறையில் செயல்பட களத்தைத் தயாரிக்க வேண்டும்.

பதிவு செய்த தன்னார்வலர்களிடம் , அவர்கள் ஏற்றுள்ள பணி எந்த அளவிற்கு சமூக முக்கியத்துவம் நிறைந்தது என்பதை உணர்த்த வேண்டும் . ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்விச் சார்ந்த நிகழ்வுகள் பற்றிய விவரங்களை குறிப்பெடுத்து அதனை ஆவணப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.

 இல்லம் தேடிக் கல்வி மையங்கள் முறையாக அமைப்பதற்கும் , இத்திட்டத்திற்கான பயிற்சிகளை அளிப்பதற்கும் அந்தந்த சார்ந்த பள்ளியின் தலைமையாசிரியர் / பள்ளி மேலாண்மைக் குழு மூலம் ஒன்றிய ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்களுக்கு வழிக்காட்டுதலை மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

 ஒன்றாம் வகுப்பு முதல் தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்றோர் மட்டுமே தமிழ்வழி இட ஒதுக்கீடு பெறத் தகுதியானவர்கள் என தமிழ்நாடு அரசுப் பணியாளர் தேர்வாணையம் தெளிவான அறிக்கை வெளியீடு.

தேர்வாணையத்தால் கடந்த 03.01.2021 அன்று நடத்தப்பட்ட ஒருங்கிணைந்த குடிமைப் பணிகள் தேர்வு - 1 ( தொகுதி - 1 ) ல் அடங்கிய பணிகளுக்கான முதல்நிலைத் தேர்வெழுதிய விண்ணப்பதாரர்களுள் தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்றுள்ளதாக தனது இணையவழி விண்ணப்பத்தில் கோரியுள்ள விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் கீழ்க்காணும் கல்வித் தகுதிகளை தமிழ் வழியில் பயின்றதற்கான சான்றிதழ்களை தேர்வாணைய இணையதளத்தில் 05.08.2021 அன்று வெளியிடப்படவுள்ள உரிய படிவத்தில் , 16.08.2021 முதல் 16.09.2021 வரை ( வேலை நாட்களில் ) ஸ்கேன் ( Scan ) செய்து தேர்வாணைய இணையதளத்தில் அரசு கேபிள் டிவி நிறுவனம் நடத்தும் அரசு இ - சேவை மையங்கள் மூலமாக பதிவேற்றம் செய்ய வேண்டும் : 

1. பள்ளி முதல் வகுப்பிலிருந்து பத்தாம் வகுப்பு வரை 

2. மேல்நிலை முதலாம் மற்றும் இரண்டாம் ஆண்டு அல்லது பட்டயப் படிப்பு 

3. பட்டப் படிப்பு இது குறித்த தகவல் உரிய விண்ணப்பதாரர்களுக்கு அதாவது விண்ணப்பத்தில் தமிழ் வழியில் கல்வி பயின்றதாக குறிப்பிட்டு முதனிலைத் தேர்வு எழுதியவர்களுக்கு மட்டும் குறுஞ்செய்தி மற்றும் மின்னஞ்சல் வாயிலாக தெரிவிக்கப்படும்.

இதைத் தவிர தேர்வாணைய இணையதளம் மூலமாகவும் இது குறித்த குறிப்பாணையினை 05.08.2021 முதல் பதிவிறக்கம் செய்து கொள்ளலாம். மேற்குறிப்பிட்ட நாட்களுக்குள் விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் சான்றிதழ்களை பதிவேற்றம் செய்யவில்லை எனில் அவர்களது விண்ணப்பம் பரிசீலனைக்கு எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படமாட்டாது எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகிறது.
